The long road of photographic discovery started for me in 2008. I've always had a desire to capture memories but 2008 was the time my partner, Jayne presented me with my first real DSLR. I spent many months walking the trails in the Peak District and Moorlands surrounding my hometown. It was an exciting time walking alone with just my camera and tripod getting to know how to get the best from this amazing little black box.
In 2010, having exhausted almost all landscape locations in my area, I decided to take a small detour into music photography and gained experience of unpredictable lighting sequences and portrait work. I like to think I'm not your usual photographer in that Ive never spent time in the classroom to learn my craft. I feel to learn from someone else and take on someone elses rules of shooting stifles creativity. Whats the point of having rules if you cant break them from time to time?
